Immigrants – Different Ways of Integration (INTEGRA) project is an Erasmus+ project aimed at supporting the integration process of people with migratory backgrounds in the new society by providing open and accessible training for both migrants and adult educators, volunteers and staff working for migrants’ social integration.

Migration is common today. Immigrant groups are groups of people particularly vulnerable to social exclusion due to barriers resulting from cultural differences, not knowing the language and difficulties in adaptation. Therefore, actions are necessary to support their efforts to find their place in the new society.

The social inclusion of these people through integration is a two-way activity. It is necessary to prepare for it not only the immigrants themselves, but also people from their environment and, above all, people responsible for adapting immigrants to life in a new environment.

The aim of the project is to support local organisations in partner countries that work to integrate immigrants into the host community and increase the effectiveness of their activities.

Objectives

The specific goals are:

  1. increasing the knowledge of partner organisations in the field of methods of integrating immigrants through learning about the methods used in other organisations;
  2. build the foundations of an online learning environment targeted at the host community and immigrant.

Main activities

Collaboration of 4 organizations from Poland, Italy , Spain and Denmark working with immigrants will share their expertise, knowledge and examples of good practice in the integration of immigrants.

Organization of 4 international workshops to share the experiences of people with migration backgrounds.

Creation of a guide and e-learning course supporting organizations, staff, volunteers and public representatives working for the social inclusion of immigrants in the new local communities.
